Important Info (Visa Lounge Pro-Tips)
No Visa on Arrival: Indian ordinary passport holders cannot get a visa at the airport in Istanbul. You must have your e-Visa or sticker visa before you fly.
The “Used Visa” Myth: Unlike some countries, Türkiye generally allows you to use the e-Visa facility even if your supporting US/Schengen visa is unused, as long as it is valid on the date you enter Türkiye.
Transit Secret: If you have a layover in Istanbul under 24 hours and stay in the transit area, you don’t need a visa. But if you want to see the Blue Mosque during a long layover, you’ll need an e-Visa or a Transit Visa.

4. What are the total costs for a Sticker Visa in 2026?
The total budget should include the Embassy fee (approx. ₹5,000–₹5,500) and the VFS service fee (approx. ₹4,000), totaling roughly ₹9,000 to ₹10,000 for a single-entry tourist visa.
5. Is travel insurance mandatory for the e-Visa application?
While not uploaded during the online e-Visa process, you are required to hold a valid insurance policy upon arrival in Türkiye. Immigration officers may request to see this before granting entry.
6. My photo is 3.5×4.5cm. Can I use it?
No. Türkiye is exceptionally strict regarding the 2.5 x 2.5 inch square format. Using incorrect dimensions is a frequent cause for application returns at the VFS counter.
