1. Mandatory Document Checklist 

The application is entirely digital via the Royal Oman Police (ROP) e-Visa portal.

• Passport: High-quality color scan of the front and back pages (valid for at least 6 months).

• Photograph: Recent digital photo (35mm x 45mm), white background, neutral expression, and no glasses.

• Supporting Visa (Conditional): If applying for the “Conditional e-Visa,” a scan of your valid/used US, UK, Schengen, Canada, or Australia visa is required.

• Financial Proof: While not always uploaded, you must carry a copy of your last 3 months’ bank statements to show at the immigration counter if requested.

• Travel Proof: Confirmed return/onward flight tickets and hotel booking confirmation.

• Mandatory Health Insurance: Although some pandemic-era requirements were relaxed, as of 2026, travel insurance remains a mandatory document for entry at all Omani airports.

. Important Information 

• The “Visa-Free” Privilege: Indian citizens holding a valid visa or residency from the US, UK, Schengen, Canada, or Australia are eligible for Visa-Free entry for up to 14 days, provided they have a return ticket and hotel booking.

• GCC Grand Tours Visa (New for 2026): Oman has officially joined the Unified GCC Tourist Visa. Later this year, you will be able to travel across Oman, UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait on a single visa (similar to Schengen).

• Ok To Board (OTB): If you are traveling on a fresh visa for the first time, check with your airline if they require an “OK To Board” status updated in their system before you reach IGI Airport.

• Overstay Fines: Oman is strict; the overstay fine is OMR 10 (~₹2,150) per day.

What is the processing time for an Oman e-Visa?

Typically, the visa is approved within 24 to 48 hours. However, for Indian applicants, we recommend a buffer of 4 working days to account for any security verification.

 How much does the Oman visa cost for Indians?

• 10-Day Tourist Visa (26A): Approx. OMR 5 (~₹1,100).

• 30-Day Tourist Visa (26B): Approx. OMR 20 (~₹4,300).

• 1-Year Multiple Entry: Approx. OMR 50 (~₹10,800).

 Can I get a Visa on Arrival in Muscat?

Is my US/Schengen visa enough to enter for 30 days?

No. The visa-free exemption for Indian passport holders with a US/Schengen visa is only for 14 days. If you plan to stay longer, you must apply for a standard 30-day e-Visa.

You can drive a rental car with a valid Indian license for up to 90 days. However, carrying an International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended to avoid any issues with insurance claims.
