This document checklist is standard but not exhaustive. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents based on specific use cases.

   Passport

• Valid for 6 months beyond the last intended date of departure from South Africa
• Should contain at least 2 blank visa pages
• Should have no alteration or handwritten amendments in the data pages

      Photograph

• Two recent colored passport size photographs (35 mm wide by 45 mm high without border) and taken within the last 3 months
• Applicant full face must be clearly visible without any headgear taken against a plain white background

       Flight Ticket

• Applicant needs to provide confirmed/booked round trip flight tickets to South Africa
• We recommend to book refundable tickets just in case your visa gets rejected
  

  ---

      Accommodation

• Applicant must provide confirmed Hotel Voucher
• We recommend to book refundable hotel booking just in case your visa gets rejected
• In case staying with relative/friend then there Local address in South Africa along with their Id proof copy along with invitation letter from their end

      Invitation

• In case on Invitation – Invitee ID Proof / Copy of Residence Card and Invitation letter. Invitation letter to be attested by South African Police
  

  ---

      Cover Letter

• A Covering letter from the Applicant on A4 Size Paper (if Employed) or else on Business Letter Head (if Self Employed)
  

  ---

      NOC

• NOC from employer (if employed) along with ID card copy / Business card
• Salary slips for 3 last months along with copy of employment ID card

        GST Copy

• If Self Employed then applicant need to provide a GST copy

       Travel Insurance

• Travel insurance is mandatory with coverage of minimum 50,000 USD per person
• All expenses which include repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention or emergency medical treatment in hospital
• The insurance should cover the entire stay in the territory of South Africa

        Itinerary

• Day wise itinerary which gives information about your travel plans on plain A4 size paper or else if booked through travel agent then on their letterhead

       Bank Statement

• Applicant needs to provide last 6 months bank statement with minimum maintained Balance of Rs.75,000 or above signed and attested by a bank official
• In case applicant is self employed then company’s 6 month bank statement is also required
• All bank statements must be dated within the last 1 week

All Indian passport holders require a valid visa to enter South Africa

Each applicant must have all the mandatory documents as mentioned in the requirement tabs above.

In addition to the documents mentioned, our visa experts or the concerned embassy may require you to furnish additional documents to process your visa. Your cooperation in furnishing any such additional documents is essential for a positive outcome.

If all the documents are not ready at the time of the agent visit then additional charges are levied when the agent revisits your residence.

The visa fee is nonrefundable whether the visa is approved or rejected.
