Mandatory Document Checklist 

The UAE is digital-first, so high-quality color scans (not phone photos) are essential.

• Passport: Original Indian passport valid for at least 6 months. Scanned color copies of the first page, last page, and the external cover page (a new mandatory requirement in 2026).

• Photograph: One recent color photo (taken within 6 months) with a plain white background.

• Confirmed Return Ticket: Mandatory for boarding and immigration clearance.

• Accommodation Proof: Confirmed hotel booking for the entire duration of your stay. If staying with a relative, a copy of their Emirates ID and a tenancy contract (Ejari) is required.

• Financial Proof (ITR/Bank): Generally not required for standard short-term tourist visas, but mandatory for the 5-year multiple-entry visa (minimum balance of USD 4,000 or equivalent).

• Mandatory Health Insurance: You must hold a UAE-approved health insurance policy. While many e-visas include this in the fee, you must carry the certificate.

Important Information for UAE

• Visa on Arrival (VoA): Indian citizens with a regular passport can get a 14-day VoA at any entry point if they hold a valid/used visa or Green Card from the USA, UK, or any EU (Schengen) country. The fee is approximately AED 100 to 250 depending on the stay duration.

• The “Single Name” Rule: Effective since late 2022 and strictly enforced in 2026, travelers with only one name in their passport (e.g., just “Rajesh” with no surname) will not be allowed entry unless they have a residency visa.

• Wait for the PDF: The UAE issues an e-Visa. You must carry a printed color copy of this PDF; digital copies on phones are sometimes not accepted by airline check-in staff in India.

• Overstay Fines: UAE has removed the “grace period” for overstays. Fines start from the very first day of overstay (approx. AED 50/day plus service charges).

Can I apply for an  UAE  visa online?

What is the processing time for a UAE Tourist Visa in 2026?

• A: For 95% of Indian applicants, visas are processed within 48 to 72 hours. However, we recommend applying at least 10 days before travel to account for Friday/Sunday weekend shifts in the UAE.

Is the 5-Year Multiple Entry Visa available for all Indians?

•  Yes. This is a self-sponsored visa. The primary requirement is a bank balance of USD 4,000 (~₹3.3 Lakhs) maintained over the last 6 months and valid UAE health insurance.

 Can I travel to Abu Dhabi or Sharjah with a visa issued in Dubai?

•  Certainly. A UAE visa granted by any Emirate (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.) is valid for entry and travel across all seven Emirates.

Do children require a separate visa?

•  Yes, all travelers, including infants, must have their own visa. For minors (under 18), a copy of the birth certificate (translated into English/Arabic) is required.

Is travel insurance mandatory for entry?

• Yes. Since the 2025 reforms, immigration officers frequently verify insurance at the airport. The policy must cover at least USD 30,000 for emergency medical care.

Can I work in the UAE on a Tourist Visa?

• Strictly prohibited. Engaging in gainful employment on a tourist visa is illegal and results in immediate deportation and a permanent ban.

What if my name on the visa and passport has a minor spelling difference?

• This will lead to a denial of entry. Ensure your name is entered exactly as it appears in the machine-readable zone (MRZ) of your passport.
