1. Mandatory Document Checklist

Important Information

• The “Golden Shortcut” (TAC): You can enter Taiwan Visa-Free for 14 days if you have a valid (or expired within 10 years) visa or residence permit from the USA, Canada, Japan, UK, Schengen, Australia, New Zealand, or South Korea.

  • 2026 Rule: You must apply for the TAC online before flying. It is free and valid for 90 days (Multiple Entry).

• Mega Roadshow in Delhi (Feb 2026): The Taiwan Tourism Administration just concluded a major roadshow in New Delhi this month, announcing a 20% growth target for Indian arrivals. New “MICE” incentives are now available for corporate groups from Gurgaon-based companies.

• Sticker Visa Processing: For those not eligible for the TAC, you must apply at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC) in New Delhi.

• No “Visa on Arrival”: Ordinary Indian passport holders cannot get a visa at the airport. You must have either a TAC or a sticker visa before boarding at IGI Airport.

Can I travel to Taiwan for business on a Tourist Visa?
